These are potential colour themes for my digipak. I am torn between keeping the colours black and white or adding just a little bit of colour for effect. I might try both when creating my magazine advertisement and album cover and see which looks best. I may also do a survey on both to see what the audience think about the colour themes to get the most effective and accurate result.

Mock up of magazine advertisement
These are draft mock ups of how my magazine advertisement might be laid out. I have some ideas about what image I want to use for my magazine advertisement and front cover. I also want a black and white colour theme as I feel it is relative to the 'rock and roll' music genre.
Font Ideas
To decide which font would look best on my digipak I decided to use a font generator to get some ideas. I knew I wanted the font to be more 'manly' as the voice of the person singing the song is a man. This way it would be a continuing theme throughout the whole product. I also wanted the font to portray an indie rock theme as that is the genre of the music. This is why I chose more 'rough' looking font ideas. My favourite would probably be either the 'Ed_Gein' font or the 'Bad Saubia Swing' as I feel they link well with the song.

Inspiration for album cover
These album covers stood out to me because I like how the names of the artists stand out on the cover, and also I like how they are all different, yet stand out in their own way by having one main feature to focus on. My favourite album cover is probably the 'UNPLUGGED' cover as I like how its an actual picture but made to look like it has been moved around. I want to incorporate something like this for my album cover. The other album cover that particularily stands out to me is the one with the guitar across the cover. I think this looks really effective as it adds depth to the image by creating lines, but also it links with the context as the genre is indie rock, so a guitar is a relavant prop to use.

Plan for re-shooting certain shots and more filming
I am planning on maybe re-filming some sections of my music video to make the clips more fast paced to match along with the beat of the song. I need to think about how I'm going to keep the flow of the narrative going whilst decreasing the length of the shot. I am going to film the party scene and other various scenes to fill in the spaces in my first draft. I planned to shoot these after my other scenes as I did not need the actors to be in the same outfits and time was running out. I booked a camera and tripod a week in advance so that I knew I would have one as they were being booked out fast. I have booked them for over the weekend to get all of my filming done to leave plenty of time for editing and any shots that may need re-doing.
Saturday 7th of February
I am filming the party scene on Saturday night as I am having friends round to celebrate my 18th birthday so I thought it would be an ideal time to film as people would already be dressed up. I am also going to film the date scene whilst Kate and Jack are together.
During the day I will film the sections which don't involve any people and try out different techniques.
If any shots need re-doing I then have Sunday to make any changes.
